A brand new way of presenting history and design a flat – murals.

A mural is a formmethod of outdoor art, it usually giant and has got an important meaning. This form of artwork is ordinary in the western Europe and in the United States, nevertheless it have become more and more famus in the other states.

In large cities we may meet murals on the sides of buildings, bus stations, the buildings corporations and other spaces with giant surface area. City murals may show many different things such as information, ads, however they could as well tell a story. In the last decade murals have become a common method of commemorating significant

historical events, very big pictures on the building’s surfances have appeared in towns like Łódź and Poznań. Great murals cities of Radom performed a story of the events of June’76 and Poznań on the facade of one of the buildings the artist painted a mural dedicated to the victims of June’56 in the 55th anniversary of the workers’ uprising. Another place which we can include to the murals cities group is Piła, where in 2013 was painted a historical mural commemorating the Cursed soldiers In 2015 on one of the school’s building appeared a mural commemorating the airmen from Poland, great heroes of the Battle of Britain. The people like Witold Pilecki and Danuta Siedzikówna “Inka” are shown on historical mural, which 3 years ago was created on the ZHP building in the city of Kalisz. In Gniezno in 2013 was painted a series of patriotic murals, which were related to the Greater Poland uprising 1918-1919, similar painting is in Wizna this is a story of the hero of the battle of “Wizna”. It is an interesting of teaching history. Now murals are using not only as a form of street art, but also as a decoration in private houses, where their are used to express imaginationstyle of the owners.

The most common space where we like to present our new style is the center of our appartment and in that room we put living room murals (see more), which can impress our relatives. Ideas for living room murals may be different, they are limited only by people’s imagination, so it can be the Eiffel Tower if you love France, it may be the map of worls, animals or plants for their fans.
